ENGINE TEST BENCH

ENAER Engine Test Bench

ENAER It has a test bench for turbo jet engines, turbo propellers and conventional (reciprocal), with sufficient capacity to cover the demand internal resulting from repairs carried out by the Company. The engine test bench ENAER It has two independent cells in which performance tests and engine preservation are carried out . The Turbo Jet cell tests the J 85 and TFE 731 engines, among others, andIn the Turboprop Cell, tests are carried out on an important series of engines, including the T 53, T 56 series, PT6A series, PT6T-3B and a wide range of conventional (reciprocating) engines.

Turbo Cell Control Room with J-85 Engine Afterburner

Another important aspect to highlight is the inclusion of an engine control system and its auxiliary systems such as fuel, air and water in the case of the Turbo Cell, a system that has a state-of-the-art PLC (Programmable Logic Controller). In addition, there is a vibration acquisition and analysis system capable of delivering data in real time, as well as the possibility of reproducing the test for later analysis. The bench is also equipped with a state-of-the-art data acquisition system that allows recording all the parameters required by the manufacturer of each engine. The system has multiple screens, in order to manage and control the entire range of parameters necessary to carry out the tests and maintain control of them. Both cells have installed risk control systems, such as emergency stops and alerts, avoiding risks in the operation.

In addition, there is a closed-circuit television system that allows all phases of the engine run to be observed from the control room, which prevents operators from entering the cell to detect leaks or anomalies during the test, allowing the test to be recorded.
